New Driver Section

If you've just passed your test and planning on buying your first car you can save a load of cash when it comes to car insurance by taking a pass plus course. You can save approximately the equivelant of 1 years no claims bonus (about 35%). It will also give you experience of driving on motorways and make you more prepared to deal with certain situations, you might not have yet covered during your normal lessons.

At Learnerstuff we also recommend the use of P-Plates, this will make other drivers aware that you have just passed your test. There is a bit of a stigma attached to P-Plates, but who cares, it's not for ever and it will make other drivers on the road a bit more patient and understanding if you make the odd mistake.

Inside this section we have more information on the pass plus scheme, a guide to car insurance, information on the new drivers act and a handy loan calculator to work out how much you can afford on your first car if you need a loan or finance.

Remember! Your driving test pass certificate (D10) is only valid for 24 months. If the examiner didn't take your licence from you at the end of the driving test and you don't apply for your licence within this time you'll have to take your test again.
